How do I applique on a hand-knitted wool garment?
Would I need fusible interfacing to keep the garment from being stretched while sewing my applique on? The applique would be primarily made of wool felt.
This is going to be extremely difficult to do. Usually hand-knitted fabric is not as fine as commercial knit fabric. It will stretch a lot more. Attaching an applique would not be advisable, depending on where it was placed and the size if it. If you wanted to add a design to it, you may want to investigate embroidery or duplicate stitch.
Without knowing more, or seeing what you are attaching, it is hard to say if it would work or not, or how to do it.
