What’s the best way to strip paint from a roll top desk?
The “roll” part of the desk is painted and needs stripping. How can I get the paint out of the tiny spaces?
You need to use paint stripper and apply generously. Then you can buy a small wire brush, at lowes, walmart or home depot, it looks like a metal toothbrush and brush gently with the grain. You will obviously get a lot of stripper and paint on the brush, use denatured alcohol to rinse the brush. Keep brushing with the metal brush and rinsing with the denatured alcohol….I used to refinish antiques which had intricate details. When you are done, use a paper towel to take off the residue….Good luck!
