The Super Bowl Wedge Recipe
- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 3/4 lb cold cuts (your choice)
- 1/4 lb mozzarella cheese or 1/4 lb provolone cheese
- 1 whole roasted red pepper, cut in strips
- 1 medium red onion, sliced thinly in rings
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- The first thing you need to do is to horizontally slice a long loaf of Italian bread. Then, very lightly, sprinkle the cut sides of the bread with the olive oil.
- Now, begin placing the deli foods of your choice (ham, Genoa salami, pepperoni for slicing, mozzarella cheese, roasted peppers, red onion rings) in layers, ensuring you sprinkle every other layer with olive oil and oregano.
- Once all that is done, wrap the loaf tightly in heavy-duty aluminium/ thin foil.
- Then preheated your oven to 350 degree and place the layered loaf in there for about 30 minutes.
- Once the said time is past, bring the baked loaf out and slice into individual servings and enjoy!
