How To Dance Like A Star
Remembering every step in choreography is not learned overnight; it is that keen eye for the linear concept behind it that makes it a great talent. For people who find it difficult to memorize ballet or any dance choreography, here are some golden tips that can help you:
Your memory can only hold so much information and it’s easy to forget things and when your instructor barely shares notes with his students, the only way you can learn of choreography each day is to jot down your own notes.
By the end of the day when you’re at home you realize that you don’t remember anything about the dance routine in this different setting. You might find it really hard without musical accompaniment. A song’s version won’t do any good. The best thing to do is to get a duplicate copy of the song.
Get the name of each step and get a good grasp of it. It’s good that you know etymology but it’s even better when you know which foot and arm coordination make up that dance routine name.
