I need the right words to capture the emotions that quilts evoke…?
I love quilts and their history. They are unique bedding because they tickle our hearts in ways modern bed covers cannot. I want quilt lovers on the web to identify with these feelings. But what are those feelings? Happiness from childhood memories? The comfort of familiarity? Solves all decor issues because of their timeless styles? Pride felt for the strength and character of our fore-mothers? Projects our unique personality. I want to touch the hearts of quilt lovers with a few select words that reflect their affinity for quilts. Please describe the feelings you have when thinking about quilts and how that makes quilts superior to trendy comforters or duvet covers. They should immediately identify quilts with the emotions they recognize in themselves.
Once I find the words that resonate with these women, I need to find out where they are and how to reach them to share my interest in the history of quilt names and patterns. Suggestions are welcome for that too!
Quilts brought women together to network and support each other. A social gathering where ideas were exchanged. My mother exposed me to the beauty and intricacy of quilts which we bought. There is a sense of order, complexity and pattern that is soothing to your eye and skin. The post office has cool quilt stamps right now.
