quilt block stencils?? For making the actual squares…?
I am new to quilting, and I am wondering if I am crazy or if there is something like this available….I want to know if there are block stencils like a clear piece of square acrylic that I can place on my fabric and cut around ??? is there anything like that out there? or am I just dreaming…I am hoping for a 9×9

Yes, though they’re called “templates”, and are pretty expensive. Most of us seem to use quilting rulers and a rotary cutter and mat.

I’m not a demon quilter… I mostly make utility quilts as a way of using up garment scraps. The two rulers I use most are a 6 x 24″ gridded ruler and a strange thing that was designed for making pineapple blocks, but just seems to be handy for a lot of small cutting. I used to have a square 12.5″ ruler meant for squaring blocks up to 12″ finished size, but hubby appropriated it for woodworking.
