Can a 100% cotton fabric be sturdy enough to be sewn with a sewing machine?
It’s not exactly a t shirt, its only a little bit stretchy
The type of fiber is not really important. Cotton absolutely can be sewn on a machine.
The thing that really matters is how the fabric is made. If it is woven (like jeans, or most button down shirts) then it can be sewn on a machine. If it is knit (like a t-shirt or hoodie), then it’s difficult to machine sew. You would have to use a machine that has a special stitch that can be stretched. If the stitching can’t stretch, it will tear when the fabric stretches.
