Dress came in flawed?
I ordered my wedding dress from Emerald Bridal in January. It came in late March, with a fabric flaw. The boutique I ordered it from told me they were sending it back, and that it would be here in May. The shipping date was 10 days ago, and the boutique told me it would be here 2 business days after the shipping date, which should have been a week ago. It isn’t in yet. My fiance raised the question of “What if the dress comes in flawed again?”. If it does, what can I do? Can I demand a discount, or anything along those lines? My wedding is in 4 weeks, I won’t have the time, nor do I have the money, to purchase a new one.
If it comes back again, hell yes, demand a discount or a refund.
This is your WEDDING GOWN!!! You want it perfect and it should be! They should ensure that it gets fixed properly for you.
I would be calling the boutique, demanding they call the company and asking for an update as to how long it will be.

EDIT – whoops, just read the bit about your wedding is in four weeks!!!! If it comes back flawed again, demand a discount and see if you can take it to a dressmaker to have it repaired. If they are not prepared to give you a discount, make sure you tell them that you are reporting them to Consumer Affairs (or your equivalent over there) and that you will be letting everyone you know about your experience.
What sort of flaw is it? Can it be repaired easily?
