How do you make wavy borders for inbetween blocks for shabby chic quilts?
Can someone please let me know how you make the wavy look piped edging that goes in between each block on shabby chic quilts – it doesnt sit flat it sits up from the fabric

I’m not sure about the wavy part, but piping is actually fairly easy. You can use a light to medium weight string to fill the piping or just fold the fabric and leave it unstuffed. Take a strip of fabric about 3/4″ wide and press it in half along the length, wrong sides together. If you’re going to fill it, put the string inside and nestle it up along the fold. When joining your blocks, put the piping fabric between the two blocks, with the cut edge lined up with the edge of the blocks. Use a zipper foot to get as close to the stuffed piping as possible, or, if using just fabric for the piping, use your regular quarter inch foot. When you open the blocks, you’ll have the piping in between them. You may need to adjust the width of your fabric strips depending on the size of the cord you use to fill it. If you’re sewing wavy sashing between the blocks, cut your piping fabric on the bias (diagonal) because it will be more flexible.
