What Goes With A Green Quilt
If you’re getting into quilt making, then chances are you’re still curious about a number of aspects about the aesthetics, design and decor relating to quilts. Designing a Green Quilt
When it comes to designing a green quilt, your best bet is truly going to be to simply look at the color schemes and see what works. There are one or two standard combinations, of course. A subtle, soft, dark green with earth tones tends to have a nice homey look.
With cool colours like blue, it can often help you to chill and unwind. With more regal and bombast colours like purple and gold, it can look good, but it may be a little loud to sleep under. Still, it comes down to your own personal tastes.
As for the designs and patterns that go well with green, you might want to contrast the feeling of your color palette. So if you have got a actually wild color range like green and red, you would wish to go with faster designs, while green and earthy browns, you could get away with more zig zags and the like. Again, though, it really comes down to what you want to do.
Matching the Decor
When organizing decor, it’s a smart idea to select a theme. Your theme may be anything from the sea or the beach to a burger. Anything with an identifiable and usable color scheme, a visible identity that you can use for inspiration. So a green and blue quilt might serve as the sea in a room with sand colored walls and coral curtains.
If you would like to make an all green quilt, that will work too, but it is dependent on the decor of the room. Just make absolutely sure that you are stitching this quilt for a room where an all green quilt wouldn’t look wildly out of whack.
Naturally, when it comes down to it, you can always rely on your instincts. The person you are generally trying to make satisfied with your decor is yourself! So don’t worry so much about the rules of decor and aesthetics, just follow them as a general guideline and use them to point you to a look that you like. Once you’re content enough, you can forget the rules altogether and just go for what you want to do and find a look you like.
